The compiler variable entry is useful if the set of JAR files that should be added. nothing works, and its really disheartening. install4j can generate native launchers that start your application.

This setting is not funcitonal mac as it refuses to save and because of that will continue to only launch the outdated JAR launcher making it impossible to play minecraft modpacks on mac. everything loads fine in regular minecraft, to be expected, but the second i launch any modpack it wont load any chunks and ill get 0-1 fps. In the twitch/curgeforge app settings under the minecraft tab theres a setting for launcer method: JAR or Native Launcher. I've been trying to troubleshoot this issue for days, and my friend with similar specs to me has the same problem.
